Veterinary Permission
Veterinary permission is a legal requirement under the Veterinary Surgeons Act. It is within the best interests of the animal to make sure that we are made aware of any previous medical conditions. This also applies to any treatments that may have contraindication or potential interaction with any assessment or treatment provided.
Consent can be gained by us contacting your vet prior to the first treatment. Alternatively, you can download the following form and send it to your vet yourself
What’s included in your appointment?
Every animal is different and will be assessed and treated in that manner to ensure results are effective and sustainable.
At the first appointment we will take a full case history including relevant medical history, current issues, workload and your aims and ambitions for your animal.
A full biomechanical assessment of your animal will be performed. This will enable recording of movement patterns, symmetry and soundness. A hands-on examination of the animal will then be performed. Testing the joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments to identify areas of pain, dysfunction or imbalance which could be affecting the animal.
Once the examination and observations have been completed the findings will be discussed with you, along with a diagnosis and treatment plan.
Full aftercare will be provided with relevant exercise’s and stretches where appropriate. A complete report can be sent to you and your vet if required.
